September 3, 2021 Dear Parents and Guardians, We had such a great first few days of school! I always share a weekly update for what is to come the next week! I hope you have a fun and relaxing weekend!   In our Literacy block this upcoming week, we will be sharing a few great stories, be sure to ask your child about Buddy and Earl , and the Elephant and Piggie characters!  As we share fun stories about friendship we are getting to know each other, building our sense for stories, enjoying stories together, and developing or maintaining the love of reading we all want our kids to have!  This time of our day is called Interactive Read Aloud, and we discuss different parts of the book and listen to our friends deep thinking about the stories we read.  This is a critical piece to building the kind of classroom environment where students feel comfortable taking risks and learning about and respecting one another.  We will also be working on Community...

First Day

 We had an amazing first day! We learned all about the rules of the cafeteria and playground! We read “The First Day Jitters” and drank “Jitter Juice”! We learned one another’s names, where we sit at the carpet, math centers, and so much more! Can’t wait for tomorrow! Please don’t forget to bring a snack!
